Dear Diary and Dear Reader,
This is my last entry for the “Brandeis Mansion Designer Showhouse”, Omaha , Nebraska , 2009. “Escape to the Grandeur of Yesterday” was the title used for the event and was printed and used in all of the marketing materials. The ‘title’ worked, for 12,785 visitors toured the house. We were absolutely delighted with this turn out — for all the proceeds will benefit the Joslyn Castle Trust.
A magazine/program was created for the event, which was given to everyone who toured the Designer Showhouse. I will close my diary with the same “Welcome” I wrote for the magazine. It reflects my philosophy and hope for the Showhouse Project; which I feel has now been realized —– I am grateful, humbled and pleased, as a new member of the community, to have been a part of this very successful event.
